Vodafone India Launches Unlimited International Roaming Plan of Rs. 180 Offering Unlimited Data and Calls Across UK and Europe
“Whether it is a business trip or a leisure holiday, international travellers can now easily activate a pack and use their number overseas from the UK and other popular travel destinations of Europe like Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, Greece, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Malta, & Albania,” said Vodafone in a press statement.
Apart from Europe, travellers can also use unlimited calling and data in USA, UAE, Singapore & Malaysia with the same pack taking the total tally of “Unlimited” Countries to 18. The pack is available at multiple affordable price points ranging from Rs. 5000 for 28 days (which is effectively Rs. 180 per day) to Rs. 500 for every 24 Hours usage. Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director – Consumer Business, Vodafone India, said, “We launched our flagship unlimited international roaming proposition for the USA, Singapore and UAE in April, and are now very excited to extend it to these additional destinations. Europe, USA, UAE, Singapore & Malaysia comprise more than 50% of our total roamers and international traffic. With calls and data becoming completely free in these countries, we are eliminating the hassle of carrying local SIM cards or looking out for public WiFi during overseas travel.”

Apart from offering unlimited usage in 18 countries, the same pack also allows consumers to use their phones freely across 42 other countries. Vodafone has recently added new countries like Japan, Qatar, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Egypt and more to this pack. In all these countries, subscribers can receive incoming calls for free, make any call for Re. 1/min and browse data at Re. 1/MB only.
Reliance Jio to resume the pre-bookings of the JioPhone right after Diwali according to a new report. Before resuming the pre-bookings, the company will first deliver the JioPhones for six million customers who booked the device in the first phase.

A few months ago, it was reported that Reliance Jio, the Mukesh Ambani venture will soon roll out a new payments bank dubbed as Jio Payments Bank, which will be a joint venture between Reliance Industries and State Bank of India (SBI). A new report now says that Jio Payments Bank will commence operations in December.
“The payments bank was expected to launch its operations in October. The launch got delayed as the RBI had asked them (Jio Payments Bank) to demonstrate its capabilities to ensure it is ready for a glitch-free launch. The launch will now be in December,” said a person to Livemint.
Jio Payments Bank was earlier planned to start operations in October 2017, but due to issues, the launch has been postponed to December. Also, Jio has begun delivering the JioPhones in the country, and if the launch had happened, it would collide with JioPhone deliveries.
